$7 Billion California Biotech Company Moves Headquarters to Dallas

CG Oncology has relocated its corporate headquarters from Irvine, California, to Pegasus Park in Dallas, Texas.

Another major California company has moved its headquarters to Texas.

CG Oncology, a publicly traded biotechnology company, has relocated its corporate headquarters from Irvine, California, to Dallas.

The company is now based at Pegasus Park, a growing life sciences and innovation campus near Dallas’ medical district.

CG Oncology has recently carried a market valuation of roughly $7 billion. Its arrival adds another high-profile corporate headquarters to North Texas.

However, this relocation is different from many of the moves Dallas-Fort Worth has attracted in recent years.

This time, it’s biotech.

CG Oncology Moves From California to Texas

CG Oncology previously maintained its corporate headquarters in Irvine.

The company has now established Dallas as its official headquarters. Its new address is 3000 Pegasus Park Drive in Dallas.

CG Oncology reportedly signed an eight-year lease at Pegasus Park.

The move puts the company inside one of Dallas’ emerging biotechnology hubs. Pegasus Park houses life sciences companies, researchers, investors and healthcare organizations.

That ecosystem appears to be an important part of CG Oncology’s decision.

Company leaders have pointed to several advantages of operating in Dallas. Those include access to talent, lower costs and a central location.

Dallas also offers access to investors and strategic partners.

Another major factor is the city’s medical community. Pegasus Park sits near UT Southwestern Medical Center and other major healthcare institutions.

What Does CG Oncology Do?

CG Oncology is a late-stage biopharmaceutical company focused primarily on bladder cancer.

Its lead investigational therapy is called cretostimogene grenadenorepvec.

The treatment is being studied for patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.

Cretostimogene is an oncolytic immunotherapy. This type of treatment uses a modified virus to target cancer cells and stimulate an immune response.

The company’s broader goal is to develop treatments that could help some patients preserve their bladders.

CG Oncology reached another milestone in 2026. Results from its pivotal Phase 3 BOND-003 Cohort C study were published in The Lancet Oncology.

That progress has helped draw attention to the company and its expanding cancer-treatment pipeline.

Why Dallas?

Dallas-Fort Worth has become a major destination for corporate relocations.

The region offers a large workforce, major airports and a central location within the United States. Texas also has no individual state income tax.

For biotechnology companies, Dallas offers another potential advantage: a growing life sciences ecosystem.

Pegasus Park is part of that expansion.

The campus was created to bring biotechnology companies, researchers and investors together. Healthcare organizations and entrepreneurs also operate within the development.

CG Oncology can now operate close to those organizations.

Its proximity to UT Southwestern could also create opportunities for collaboration and recruiting.

California Still Plays a Role

The headquarters relocation does not mean CG Oncology has completely left California.

The company continues to list offices in Irvine and Emeryville.

That distinction is important.

Large companies often relocate their official headquarters while maintaining employees and operations in their previous state.

CG Oncology is following a similar model.

Still, the company’s official corporate headquarters is now listed in Dallas, Texas.

North Texas’ Corporate Relocation Story Is Changing

Dallas-Fort Worth has attracted companies from across the country for years.

Many of those relocations have involved banking, financial services, telecommunications, real estate and technology.

Biotechnology represents another opportunity.

CG Oncology gives Dallas a publicly traded biotech headquarters with a multibillion-dollar market valuation.

It also gives Pegasus Park another prominent company within its growing life sciences community.

The relocation could strengthen Dallas’ efforts to become a larger player in biotechnology and medical innovation.

More importantly, it shows how the region’s corporate growth story is expanding beyond traditional industries.

For years, the California-to-Texas migration has largely focused on technology companies and corporate offices.

Now, life sciences companies are entering the conversation.

CG Oncology’s decision to establish its headquarters in Dallas is another sign that North Texas’ business expansion is moving into new territory.
