THIS! Newsroom (“we”) publishes thisnewsroom.com, the THIS! Newsroom app, THIS! Radio and THIS! Originals. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Email address, only if you sign up for the Morning Brief, a THIS! Holiday Guide reminder or another newsletter. We use it to send what you asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
- Approximate location, only if you allow it, to show Christmas events, services and restaurants near you. The app sends a rounded location with that request; we don’t build a location history.
- A random install ID created by the app, so each phone can vote once in show polls. It isn’t tied to your name or email.
- What you type into North Pole Messages (a child’s first name, a good deed, a wish and who it’s from), used only to make that message. Please don’t include last names, addresses or other private details.
- Basic technical information our servers receive with any request (such as IP address and device type), used to run, secure and measure the service.
- On the website: cookies and analytics (Google Analytics), and comments if you leave one.
What stays on your phone
Your saved gifts, trivia scores, show theories, places you’ve stopped listening and your chosen city stay on your device unless you share them.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your personal information. The app doesn’t use third-party ad networks or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Links and partners
Some links go to stores, ticket sellers and venues; we may earn a commission when you buy through them. Their own privacy policies apply on their sites.
Children
The app is for a general audience. North Pole Messages is meant for parents to make a message for their child; we don’t knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from any email, turn off location for the app in iPhone Settings, or delete the app to remove what it stored on your phone. To ask about or delete your data, email info@thisnewsroom.com.
