Set an alarm, because the Ohio State vs. Indiana game is the only top-five matchup on the whole college football slate. No. 4 Ohio State (5-1) visits No. 5 Indiana (6-0) at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.
Kickoff is 12 p.m. ET on Fox, according to Yahoo Sports’ viewing guide. Here’s how to watch, and why this one matters. If you want a pick before kickoff, our Week 7 picks column on the coin-flip grudge match has you covered.

Why this rematch has everyone’s attention
Remember the last time these two met? Indiana beat Ohio State 13-10 in the 2025 Big Ten Championship Game. That was the Hoosiers’ first Big Ten title since 1967.
Since then, these two programs have split the last two national championships. Indiana is also riding a 22-game win streak, and Eleven Warriors calls this the biggest home game in Indiana history.
Ohio State is a 3.5-point favorite. Ryan Day also faces Curt Cignetti for the third time.
Ohio State vs. Indiana comes down to the trenches
Ohio State’s offense is rolling. It averages 503.5 yards and 42.7 points per game, including 337.8 passing yards a game, fourth in the country. Jeremiah Smith, a Heisman favorite, needs 100 receiving yards for his 16th career 100-yard game. That would pass Marvin Harrison Jr. for the Ohio State record.
But Indiana’s defense is built to stop the run, allowing just 75 rushing yards per game. Ohio State averages 165.7 on the ground. One of those numbers is going to blink.
It matters, because the Buckeyes have been outrushed in each of their last three losses, including last year’s loss to Indiana, according to ESPN.
Day knows it. “They do an excellent job up front on defense,” he said. “Their defensive line is one of the biggest challenges we’ll have all season.”
Ohio State is also thin at running back. Ja’Kobi Jackson is out, and so is starter Austin Siereveld. Brandon Inniss and Devin McCuin are expected back.
Indiana, meanwhile, hasn’t made it look easy lately. The Hoosiers escaped Nebraska 20-17 last week. Ohio State’s lone loss came at Texas in Week 2.
What’s at stake in Indiana vs. Ohio State
Here’s the thing: this game is bigger than bragging rights. ESPN says the winner gets the inside track to a Big Ten title-game berth. A rematch is possible in the conference championship, set for Dec. 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
The pressure doesn’t let up for Ohio State either. After Indiana, its next two opponents are also ranked in the AP top 20. The Buckeyes get a bye on Oct. 24 before a trip to USC on Oct. 31. For the rest of Saturday’s slate, check our Week 7 schedule and remote-control guide.
Gametime weather in Bloomington is listed at 48 degrees. So grab a jacket, a snack and a good seat before noon.
One question will linger long after the final whistle. Who wins the fight up front?
