Here’s what I can tell you for sure: the shoe exists in the rumor mill, and it’s real enough to have a style code, IU3188-001. The colorway is Black, Varsity Red, Cement Grey and White. Everything else needs a grain of salt. Golf fans already have plenty to track this season, from the FedExCup Playoffs field to summer tour stops, so a sneaker drop with a shaky date is best watched from a distance.
The Air Jordan 3 Golf Release Date Mix-Up
The account golfheadz posted what it calls official images of the shoe, with a caption pointing to an expected release of January 16, 2027. The post had more than 2,200 likes when I captured it. That’s a lot of applause for a shoe nobody can buy yet.
However, the date doesn’t line up with the trail of earlier reporting. The X account @zSneakerHeadz first leaked the shoe in May 2026 and put the drop at February 9, 2027. Sneaker Files lists the same date, and so does Sole Insider.
What We Know About the Jordan 3 Golf Shoe
Price is still to be announced. For context, the 2018 basketball retro in this colorway cost $200, so expect collectors to watch that number closely. Sneaker Files lists Nike, Hibbett and DSG as the expected retailers.
The caption on the new post also mentions an updated sole, with an air pocket and a different traction pattern. That detail matters to golfers, because a golf sole has to grip a swing, not just a sidewalk.
Jordan Brand has been quietly building out its golf line. Sneaker Files’ golf page also lists an Air Jordan 1 Low Golf “Space Jam” for November 2026. So this Jordan Brand golf sneaker isn’t a one-off.
A Black Cement Golf Shoe Claim I Couldn’t Confirm
The caption says the colorway first launched in 2018, for the Jordan 3’s 30th anniversary. That part is half right. The 2018 “Black Cement” retro was real, but it was a basketball shoe, not a golf shoe, and it released in February 2018 at $200.
I also couldn’t find the “official images” anywhere else, so I can’t tell you who actually released them. Every outlet I found traces back to that single May leak. Nobody has a confirmation from Nike or Jordan Brand, which leaves the Air Jordan 3 golf launch on shaky ground.
So When Can You Actually Buy It?
Treat February 9, 2027 as the working date, and treat it as unconfirmed. If Nike confirms January 16, you’ll hear it from Nike, not from a caption.
Here’s the thing: sneaker release dates are famous for moving, and the price hasn’t been announced. Skip the countdown clocks and wait for a retailer page before you plan your wallet around this one.
